There is no real secret to a perfect marriage. There is even a famous saying where the perfect marriage can only be found between a deaf and a blind couple, because the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of his wife, while the blind wife cannot see the shortcomings of her husband. If marriage could give you a glimpse of heaven, it could give you as much of hell.

Being truly and deeply in love with each other is more than what most people could ask for in a relationship. There are of course those couples who are lucky enough to be soul mates, but even love is not enough to sustain a relationship. There are other factors that come into play.

Why then do people get married? Is it for wealth and security? Is it to have a family? Is it to have someone to grow old with? They all count, but there is a much bigger picture. Marriage is when you give so much of yourself and yet, you feel whole.

Marriage is something special and should be nurtured forever. So what should couples do to keep it? love, trust, respect, patience and compassion, are all important. But even the best marriages can run into trouble. This is because many couples tend to take the simplest things for granted. Knowing some of these proven tips for a happy marriage is a must to survive with the pressures of every day living.

Point 1: Be independent.

It doesn’t mean you must embrace everything about your partner
because you marry. Sometimes, you forget about how different you two are because you’ve been together for so long. Don’t lose your uniqueness because it’s the same thing that attracted both you and your partner in the first place. Try to take on different interests and encourage your partner to do so too.

Point 2: If you have to disagree, do it lovingly.

There will be lots of times when you and your spouse won’t agree at all in some aspects. Don’t make your point sound like a criticism to your partner. It doesn’t matter who is wrong or right. Always bear in mind that an argument doesn’t need a winner or a loser.

Point 3: At least once every day, try to say one thoughtful or complimentary thing to your partner.

When a couple always spends time with each other, they often forget about courtesy. “Take the trash out. Do the laundry.” Isn’t there something missing in those phrases? Perhaps putting “Please” before each sentence would make it sound so much better. Never take each other for granted.

Point 4: Never be angry at the same time.

When you’re angry, you hear nothing else and you don’t care about anything else. If you find that both you and your partner are angry, try to have some space. Calm down. Then talk. Be sensitive to each other’s ups and downs. Talk through the problem and hear each other out. Abandon the whole world rather than each other. And never go to sleep without settling the argument. Most importantly, never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.

Point 5: Never bring up mistakes of the past.

Do not rub past issues in when ever something goes wrong, and they will. This is part of living and learning, don’t dwell over the past, the past is in the past and cannot be changed, such that you become blind. Learn from this and look towards the future with the wonderful things ahead of your relationship.

Constantly showing that you both love and care for each other will help keep your relationship fresh. Even something as simple as complementing on your spouse’s looks or buying little unexpected gifts can help. Look for the things that would make your partner feel appreciated.

How do you live by these guidelines? Lower your pride. But don’t get me wrong. Pride is a good thing. It keeps your head high in public. It’s not a bad thing to have pride in someone or something. But in private, when you’re with your partner, keep the pride level down; because it becomes a wall your partner would have to overcome.

Scrapbooking is an ideal way for you to preserve memories and share thoughts of your wedding. It is a great way to spend some time too. Every one of us has memories that mean so much to us and the thought of losing them is something that no one really wants to think about. Yet, when we get them together and get them on paper, they can be with us for a long while and they will be there even when we are not.

Getting started in scrapbooking may seem overwhelming. If you walk into the local craft store, you are likely to see a wide range of products to purchase. You’ll find a lot of kits that you can use, stickers, papers and fun colored markers and paint. You’ll find a wide range of choices and this may have you thinking that you need to purchase all of this to create a great looking scrapbook. The fact is, though, that you really do not need to do all of that at all.

When getting started in scrapbooking, you should carefully consider the options that you have and the things that you really would like to use. You don’t have to use pricy products to have a great looking scrapbook either. Here are some tips that can help anyone to get started with their scrapbooking project.

• What will you put your thoughts in? The first thing that you should consider is the book or album that you will use for your scrapbook. You can do these on the computer if you like. You can use a photo album or your can purchase a specific scrapbooking album. But, whatever you use, make sure it is what will give you the most freedom in design. This way, you can make it personal.

• What will you use to personalize it? Adding pictures to the scrapbook is easy. But, from here, you’ll need to personalize it. Now, you can do this in many ways. If you enjoy stickers, you can use them. Or, you can take some colored paper, cut fun shapes and sizes out and use these. There are plenty of ways to add sayings and messages that are easy to do.

• How will you preserve the images? It is essential that you use paper that is acid free and preserve your images. This will help you to get the best results and it will help you to get a scrapbook that is going to last for many years.

Wedding favors are in no way obligatory but that does not mean that guests still do not expect to receive a wedding favor when they attend a wedding. There are a couple of reasons for this. One of the most obvious reasons why guests expect to receive a wedding favor is that it is such a common practice that the majority of the weddings they have attended in the past have included a wedding favor. The other reason why guests expect to receive a wedding favor is that the purpose of a wedding favor is for the couple to express their gratitude to the guests for attending the wedding and reception. Although the couple will likely still send out thank you cards to all of the guests after the wedding, giving a small wedding favor is another way the couple can thank their guests for their support.

You may wonder why a couple would consider not giving wedding favors at their wedding. In most cases the simple answer to this question is that the couple is on a very tight budget and feels as though purchasing wedding favors for each of the guests will put them over budget. This is a very valid concern as it is important to remember that although wedding favors may be fairly inexpensive, this unit price must be multiplied by the number of guests in attendance. For example you may select a favor which costs only $2 per favor but you may be expecting 400 guests at your wedding. This means the costs of the favors alone will be $800 which may not even include the costs associated with shipping or wrapping the wedding favors. While we certainly understand the importance of budgets we believe the couple should incorporate a budget for wedding favors into their overall budget before the planning begins. This will help to ensure there is enough money available to give each guest a wedding favor as a token of gratitude.

When the couple is concerned about budget it is important to remember that wedding favors do not need to be expensive or extravagant. One simple way to make wedding favors more affordable is to give a wedding favor of a single flower to each guest. If you are already planning to have floral centerpieces you can discuss your options with your florist beforehand. You will likely be able to negotiate and affordable price for this favor because you are already purchasing your centerpieces from the florist. Selecting one flower used in the centerpiece and having your florist supply enough of these to give as favors is a really nice way to tie the centerpieces and the favors together. Alternately you might want to give each of your guests an artificial version of one of the flowers used in your centerpiece. These can be rather inexpensive and can also serve as a lasting reminder of your wedding.

Another way to keep wedding favors more affordable is to discuss your options with wedding favor distributors carefully. Many of them likely have closeout items available as well as discount items. Closeout items are items which have been discontinued but the distributor may have enough in stock for all of the guests at your wedding. Additionally, they may be willing to offer you a discount if you are purchasing a large number of favors.

There are a number of reasons why a couple may find themselves spending Valentine’s Day apart. Couples who are in a long distance relationship, business trips, shifts which prevent couples from being together, sickness and family emergencies are just a few examples of reasons why a couple may find themselves spending Valentine’s Day apart. While you may certainly understand the reasons why you and your loved ones cannot be together on Valentine’s Day it does not make it any easy to deal with this situation. You may still feel sad and lonely if you find yourself in one of these situations. However, there is home for those who are spending Valentine’s Day apart from their loved ones, there are a few ways for making the day a lot more fun. This article will provide information on ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day apart in a number of different scenarios.

First we will consider the case of a couple who is in a long distance relationship. For this couple, they may be used to spending important days such as Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and other holidays apart so it may not be as difficult for them to deal with. However, there are ways this couple can still celebrate Valentine’s Day together. One way to do this is to both rent the same movie and watch it while on the phone together. This may run up your phone bill but if you have unlimited evening minutes you and your partner can chat away on your cell phones while you watch the movie together. You might even consider both ordering the same type of food such as pizza or Chinese food so you will feel even more together for a little while.

Next we will consider a couple who finds themselves spending Valentine’s Day apart do to an unexpected business trip. This can be particularly difficult because the couple is not used to being apart on important days and likely did not have a great deal of time to prepare for spending the holiday apart. In this situation the couple should discuss Valentine’s Day as soon as they realize they are going to be spending the holiday apart. While discussing it they can decide whether they want to celebrate before they separate or after they are reunited. It is also important for the couple to try to at least have some contact on Valentine’s Day even if it is over the phone or through email. This will allow the couple to feel like they are together in some way so they don’t get too lonely. Having flowers delivered to your loved one while you are separated is also a very thoughtful gesture.

Finally, we will consider the case of a couple who cannot spend Valentine’s Day together because one or both of them does work which involves odd shifts. This could include doctors, firefighters, police officers or a variety of other professions. Individuals in this type of situation are probably used to their odd schedule and making time to be together outside of working hours. In this case the best way to deal with being apart on Valentine’s Day is to plan on celebrating together when it is more convenient. This may not seem like the most romantic option but sometimes it is important to remember that you love your partner every day of the year and you don’t have to be together on Valentine’s Day to prove your love for each other.

For many Valentine’s Day is one day of the year where couples really want to have a great date and show their partner how much they love them and care about them. However, many people have a great deal of trouble deciding planning a Valentine’s Day. This may be because there is a great deal of pressure to plan a fabulous date or simply because the person planning the date just doesn’t know how to plan a great date on any day of the year and is particularly stressed about planning a date on such an important day. Whichever the case, this article will provide a few date ideas for a great Valentine’s Day.

A romantic candlelight dinner is one of the most classic ideas for a Valentine’s Day date. Whether you plan and cook an elaborate meal by yourself, order in pizza and eat by candlelight or go out to an elegant restaurant with a great atmosphere, this type of date is likely to be well received. Although a romantic candlelight dinner might seem like a boring idea for a Valentine’s Day date just because it has been done so often and isn’t very original but it is a date idea which is always appreciated and never goes out of style.

Going out for a night of dancing is another great idea for a Valentine’s Day date. If you and your partner are already great dancers you can simply head out to a local dance club and plan on dancing away the evening. However, you might want to make things a little more interesting by changing things a little. For example if you and your partner typically enjoy country dancing you might try heading to a nightclub featuring salsa music. This will help to make the date seem more interesting. If you and your partner do not have a great deal of experience dancing, you can try arranging ballroom dancing lessons as a Valentine’s Day date idea. This will give you and your date an opportunity to learn something new together and connect in a new way.

Another great idea for a Valentine’s Day date idea is to rent a series of movies according to a particular theme and spend the evening watching movies and making popcorn at home. You can opt for renting several romantic movies to set the mood for Valentine’s Day but you don’t have to have the evening focus on romance. You can choose any theme which you and your partner will enjoy. For example you may try a few different sports related movies or a series of comedies. Whichever you choose, you are sure to have a great time because you are getting the opportunity to spend some quality time alone with your date.

A helicopter ride is a really romantic date idea for Valentine’s Day. Depending on where you live, you are likely to find pilots who offer scenic rides for this type of occasion. Whether you opt for a ride over a city or through scenic mountains, you and your date are sure to enjoy this unique Valentine’s Day date. This could be rather expensive and will likely not be a rather long event. To cut down on costs you might consider combining the helicopter ride with coffee and dessert afterwards instead of an expensive dinner.

Cultural events such as plays and visits to museums also make great Valentine’s Day date ideas. These types of events can be especially good ideas if you and your date do not normally engage in these types of activities. You can spend an afternoon or an evening comparing opinions on art displays or sit through a play or opera. However, it is important to remember these types of activities are only good ideas for a Valentine’s Day date if it is something you and your date will enjoy but normally don’t have time to do. If you and your date don’t normally do these types of things because you don’t enjoy them, then it would not be a good idea for a Valentine’s Day date.

The first thing that your guests will see is the bridal shower invitation’s phrase or message. The picture and the message on the front outside of the invitation is going to tell them what the party will be like, who is giving it and it will inform them of just the amount of happiness that this shower is to present. Will your invitation provide this type of information? If not, you’ll want to take a few minutes to find a way to make it happen.

Getting the right words onto the paper is the critical first step of the process of creating your own bridal shower invitations. If you want to impress upon your guests just how special this day is, you’ll have to do it with the right phrase or the right message. Here are a few tips to make your bridal shower invitations have the right message to your guests.

1. Find a love song or poem. Get a quote from a love song that means something to the bride and groom. Or, use a few lines of poetry about marriage and love. Making it beautiful is something that most people want their invitation to present. You can easily search for love songs right online and get many examples that may convey your message easily.
2. Set the tone. Your guests need to know just how formal your wedding shower will be. To do this, you’ll need to set the tone for the wedding in the words and messages you provide. Start with elegant, well designed letters and structure. For a more informal wedding shower, you don’t have to have it so structured and even hand written invitations are appropriate.
3. Make the message personal. If you can be a bit creative, try to come up with your own poem or message for the bridal shower invitations. If you do this, convey your message by using the bride and groom’s names or include your own names as the individuals throwing the bridal shower for the bride and groom.

When it comes to conveying a message of beauty and elegance, take the time to provide a little extra thought to the actual words that are inscribed on the invitations. When you find the right words to say; both the bride and the groom will know that this celebration is done out of love

The best places for you to host theme weddings don’t have to be the fanciest or more expensive. For example, you don’t have to go to Hawaii to host a Hawaiian them wedding.

Knowing that you can have a great wedding anywhere, you definitely have a lot of choices when searching for the place for your wedding. You could get married in a church, or at home. You could get married at a favorite restaurant, or maybe even on a beach. Or if you’re truly adventurous, you could get married while jumping out of an airplane or under water.

Some of the best places for theme weddings I’ve seen were completely free for example: outside on a farm, or by the side of a river for a ranch or cowboy theme. As long as you and your loved one are there (and you haven’t forgotten the rings), it doesn’t matter where you are. A wedding can make any place romantic

The best places for weddings are places that amplify the romance and love that brought you to the decision to get married. You and your loved one share something special, and you want to say I do, in a place that’s going to reflect the love that you feel for each other as well as the theme that you chose. You want a place that you’ll never forget, a place that will be your own little chapel of love for that beautiful day. That is how the day becomes a reminder of how you feel about each other.

Two of the best resources that I have found for finding the best places for weddings are totally free: and these are your friends, and the internet. Talk to you friends about theme weddings they have attended or watched on a movie. Which ones did they like the most? Where were they located? Once you have some ideas, start surfing the internet to gather some information on these places, and see if they fit your budget. It is really that simple.

If you want to find a great place to have a wedding, just think about how you want to reflect your love with your partner and what they like as well. From there, the destination is really easy to find. Here are some tips on destinations for different themes:

• Hawaiian: Local beach (get permits), backyard, a nearby recreations park, and even at a lake or river

• Beach: backyard, beach, and hall that allows for themed weddings

• Winter Wonderland: decorated hall or banquet room, backyard, or your local outdoor skating rink

• Asian: backyard, local theme gardens, banquet hall, restaurant, and anywhere else

• Cowboy & Cowgirl: local ranch or farm, backyard, parks, local hiking trails

Bridal shower invitations are not meant for the bride to select. In fact, etiquette says that she shouldn’t have anything to do with the planning of her bridal shower. In many ways, it is essential that who ever is throwing the bridal shower do all of the planning and organizing. In that regard, the host of the bridal shower should pick out the perfect invitations. But, how can you take this simple piece of paper and make it something meaningful and compelling? How can you make her bridal shower invitations about her?

There are many ways that you can do this. Bridal shower invitations have come a long way from the days when all you had to do was fill out a simple piece of paper with the “who, where and who to RSVP to” lines. Today, these can easily be crafted at home on a decent computer and printer or through a custom designing company. The end result is simple. Take that piece of paper and make it your own. Here are some tips for making that happen.

• High quality counts. The first thing you have to consider is the quality of the product you are presenting. It should be something that is on good quality paper that is done with precision (no crooked lines here!) and something that is crafted with care.

• Personalization matters. One of the best things to do is to make it a personal statement. You can present the invitation in such a way as to come from the parents of the bride. Or, make it personal with a loving saying or touching picture of the couple. This makes it really meaningful and something to keep hold of rather than a pieceof paper to go into the trash.
• Unique. The final thing to consider is how you will make the invitation unique. Don’t strive to make it just like everything else. Rather, look for the highest quality product that you can make your own. The wedding theme, the pictures, the sentimental saying from mom and dad all make this possible. Think outside of the ordinary. When you do these things, the bridal shower invitation you send out to your guests is one that they will hold on to for some time to come. They will remember this day and the special people that were there to make it your own, special celebration.

Every year Valentine’s Day comes around on February 14th,in many countries it is still cold. Winter still has a strangle hold on most of the country….but love and romance are supposed to be warm. Love and romance doesn’t make us think of snow, ice and cold gray skies. Love and romance brings forth pictures in our minds of sunshine, warmth, beautiful white sandy beaches, romantic dinners, romantic evenings, Enough of winter, already! We need warmth!

Maybe that is why romantic Valentine’s vacations to exotic and warm destinations are very popular. One thing you need to remember is many other couples will have the same idea. If you really want to take that Valentine’s Day vacation with the love of your life to a warm and sunny shore, you will need to make your plans early…VERY early!

Valentine’s Day is right in the middle of the ‘high’ season in the warm southern countries. If you are planning a Valentine’s Day vacation, you can expect to pay premium rates for hotel rooms, restaurants and entertainment of all kinds. You aren’t likely to find any bargain basement prices for a Valentine’s Day vacation to a warm and exotic island.

Even though you are going to have to make your reservations early, pay premium prices, a Valentine’s Day vacation to a warm and exotic location can be worth all of the trouble and expense.

Valentine’s Day: The stores are all packed wall to wall with “stuff” that has hearts on it…big hearts, little hearts and hearts entwined with arrows sticking through them. All jewelry stores have many choices in many price ranges. The trick here is to choose a piece of jewelry…with hearts on it…and do it without sending you into bankruptcy. What you should buy and how much you should spend depends on what your relationship is with the lady or man in question, your financial situation, your age and your intentions.

• You may have no idea where this relationship is going, but you want to let your Valentine know that you like them…you should probably include a single rose in a vase with a piece of jewelery. Again…there are many jewelry choices.

• Remembering that the thought does count but how committed you are to the relationship is directly related to the price tag of the piece of jewelry you select, look for a piece of jewelry that can be engraved with your name and the name of your Valentine friend. Engraving is a biggie! It is like writing your love in stone. Don’t spend more more than you can afford.

• If you and your Valentine have have been with for two years or more and are fairly certain that he or she will be your husband or wife and the mother or father of your children, you need to go to a jewelry store…no discount store is allowed…and choose a piece of jewelry that reflects your intentions.

• Valentine’s Day is a romantic day for men and one that will be easily remembered as the day you proposed marriage….so an engagement ring is not out of the question. If you do choose to buy “THE RING” and ask your lady for her hand in marriage, be prepared to spend more than a few bucks.

Here are the questions you should ask yourself before venturing out on the Valentine’s Day gift shopping expedition:

1. “Do I know her tastes well enough to buy a personalized gift?”
2. What is your budget? Financial troubles as a result of overspending on Valentine’s Day are not going to help your romantic life.
3. Always be classy. You don’t have to spend a fortune to achieve style.
